High performance car stolen from driveway

Thieves may have loaded vehicle onto machinery to steal it

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a car was stolen from a Welford driveway.

The incident happened overnight last Thursday, November 17, between 10.30pm and 6.30am the following day.

Officers believe the Audi A3 was loaded onto a large piece of machinery and removed from outside the property.

Pc Claire Drewitt said: “This is the first incident in our area for quite some time but Hampshire have had a similar incident in East Woodhay on November 10. We cannot confirm that the two incidents are linked but both vehicles are high performance cars.

“It is unusual, we do not have any witnesses to the incident so at the moment we don't have an rough time frame so we would like to hear from anyone that noticed anything suspicion out in the rural location.”
