High Street to close for Big Thatcham Fest Off

The High Street in Thatcham will be closed today, Saturday, October 7.

The closure is for the Big Thatcham Fest Off – a town council run event.

The road will be shut on October 7 (Saturday) from 2pm – 11pm.

To facilitate the event, Thatcham High Street will be closed from 2pm until 11pm.

A prohibition of waiting on the High Street will also apply during these times.

Buses and through traffic looking to join the A4 towards Newbury or to cross the A4 into Park Lane will be able to do so via the junction with The Broadway instead.

Access will be maintained for residents, businesses and emergency services.

The street will host the festivities from 4.30pm – 9pm.

Music will begin on the acoustic stage at 5.30pm through to 9pm.

The main stage entertainment will begin at 5.15pm through to 8pm with West Berkshire band Beyond the Sons taking the stage at 5.45pm followed by TV Yellow and Groove X.
