Highclere Show is a soaraway success
Families flocked to this year’s Highclere Show to enjoy a cornucopia of arts, crafts and countryside skill displays.
It was all set in the rolling grounds of Highclere Castle, home to the eighth Earl and Countess of Carnavon, known to millions as the film location for Downton Abbey.
There was free entertainment for children and highlights of the weekend included a spectacular display by The Knights of Albion Jousting Team, Gamegoer Gundogs, Hawkeye Falconry, Bob Hogg’s Dog and Duck Display, Adam’s Axemen and the Shetland Pony Performance Team.
Organisers posted afterwards: “Thank you to everyone who has visited us this bank holiday weekend – we are so humbled by your support.
“Thank you to all visitors, exhibitors, contractors and staff for making this such a memorable event.”
