HMV Newbury to close

The news comes after administrators, Deloitte, announced that it would be closing 37 stores across the country.
Joint administrator, Nick Edwards, said: “This step has been taken in order to enhance the prospects of the restructured business continuing as a going concern.
"We are extremely grateful to the staff for their continued strong support and commitment during an understandably difficult period."
A spokesman for Deloitte, Rebecca Holmes, said that the closure would take place over the next four to six weeks depending on stock clearance.
The Northbrook Street store had survived the first wave of 66 store closures across the UK which saw 930 staff facing redundancy.
The chain entered administration in January due to rising debts and stiff competition from online retailers and supermarkets.
