HMV u-turn will see gift vouchers accepted from today

Administrators Deloitte announced the U-turn yesterday (Monday) saying that after assessing HMV’s financial situation, the music and games retailer would now accept gift vouchers.
Deloitte said: “We will continue to assess the longer term options for the business whilst continuing to trade.”
HMV customers expressed anger and confusion last Tuesday when it emerged that because of it entering administration, the chain would not accept gift vouchers.
Deloitte, also appointed as administrators to DvD rental chain Blockbuster, has said it is to close 129 Blockbuster stores across the country but added that customer loyalty schemes will be honoured.
