Hogshead re-opens after refurbishment

Newbury pub enjoys a pre-Christmas facelift

THE Hogshead pub in Newbury has reopened its doors after refurbishment.

The Wharf Street establishment was closed on Sunday, November 27, to enjoy a spruce up ahead of Christmas.

It re-opened on Thursday (1) to show off a total re-decoration throughout, including new furniture and soft furnishings, changes will be made to the back bar, new toilets and extra touches to the lighting

The menu has also been tweaked.

Jonathan Houston, Hogshead's general manager, said: "It was looking a little tired and in need of some TLC and that's what it's getting. Our aim has been to create a modern and stylish environment combined with traditional pub values – a real haven from the hustle and bustle of daily life."
