Three people were taken to hospital following a Wash Water collision yesterday (Thursday) evening.

Three pumps were called at 6.30pm, including two from Newbury and another from Reading, to the Andover Road collision, involving three cars.

Firefighters cut the roofs off two vehicles and all three people were taken to hospital by road in ambulances, with suspected spinal injuries involved, according to firefighters at the scene.

The incident forced a closure of the Andover Road.

Firefighters left the scene at 8.20pm

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said three ambulance crews and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene at Andover Drove at 18.47pm.

Three patients were taken to the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, including a woman in her 50's with possible chest and back injuries.
