Two fire crews from Dee Road Fire Station, Tilehurst and also Whitley Wood, Reading, were called at 6.30pm to a collision involving two cars, on the A4/Bath Rd, at the Theale roundabout.

On arrival firefighters discovered a car had rolled onto its side and cut the roof off the car, to get a woman out.

Firefighters left the scene after around twenty minutes.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) sent an ambulance and two paramedics at 6.23pm.

Two patients were treated at the scene, before being taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
