A blazing car discovered in a Chaddleworth field yesterday (Thurs) evening was put down to a suspected arson.
One fire engine was called at 9.20pm from Newbury Fire Station to School Hill, where a blazing Subaru Impreza was found in the middle of a field.
Firefighters used back packs filled with water to extinguish the fire, before leaving the scene after half an hour.
The incident was recorded as a suspected arson by the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS).
