Council blasts 'inconsiderate' parking at beauty spots

AN investigation in the alleged rape of an 18-year-old man in Newbury has been discontinued.
The man alleged that he was raped by two men in Hambridge Road on November 24, 2014.
Thames Valley Police has now said that an investigation found that no offence had occurred.
Investigating officer Det Con Nick Salt, from Newbury Force CID, said: “A thorough investigation has taken place into the circumstances and it has been established that there has not been an offence of rape as initially reported.
“I would like to stress that no one should hesitate in coming forward if they have been a victim of crime of any sort. Thames Valley Police will support victims and witnesses throughout investigation in an attempt to prosecute offenders.”
Thames Valley Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance during the investigation.
