M4 re-opens after collision involving six vehicles between Newbury and Reading




No one seriously hurt or trapped

THE M4 between Newbury and Reading was temporarily closed yesterday evening (Thursday), following a collision involving six vehicles.

Three fire engines, including two from Newbury and the heavy rescue unit from Tilehurst, were called at 5.55pm, to the M4 eastbound, between junctions 13 and 12.

No-one was seriously injured, or trapped.

The motorway was closed eastbound during the incident.

Firefighters left the scene at 6.30pm
