Three fire engines activated to Kintbury kitchen fire




One person evacuated by firefighters

THREE fire engines were alerted to a Kintbury kitchen fire yesterday (Wed) evening.

Pumps were called at 5.25pm, including two from Newbury and a third from Hungerford, at 4.57pm to a small fire in the kitchen of a property in Gainborough Avenue.

Firefighters evacuated one person from the premises.

The fire was out on arrival.

Ambulance services attended the incident, according to the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) however South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) had no details recorded.

The RBFRS did not have any further details as to the cause of the fire, or whether any damage had occurred.

The incident was closed at 17.25pm by the fire service.
