Tue, 01 Mar 2016
TADLEY Swimming Pool was at the centre of a concern for welfare incident this morning (Tues).
Hampshire Constabulary were called at 6.20am to the swimming pool, in New Road, to assist with a man in a vulnerable condition.
The man was found to be within the building, rather than the pool.
“He was safely detained by officers under the Mental Health Act,” said Chris Gregory, a police spokesman.
No injuries were reported, with no wider risk to the local community, according to police, who left the location at 11.20am.
The building remained open during the incident, according to police.
Ambulance services were also at the scene.
