TWO Newbury men have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Following intelligence, officers searched two properties at Howarth Court on Friday (March 11) and found 33 bags of the Class B drug along with cash and drugs paraphernalia.

They subsequently arrested the men, who are aged 25 and 36. Both men have been bailed until July 12.

Sgt Damien Isherwood from Newbury police station leading the investigation said "Newbury Police are committed to fighting the illegal supply of controlled drugs.

"Drug dealers prey on the weak and vulnerable. We need the communities help us fight this crime. If you have any information about drug dealing then call 101 and report it."
