A BURST water main in Newbury on Tuesday morning was repaired overnight to cause less disruption to surrounding businesses.
Thames Water spokeswoman, Becky Trotman, said the burst pipe, located on the Old Bath Road, had been repaired, and temporary traffic lights were also removed after the work was completed.
“It’s all back to normal today,” said Becky Trotman, a spokeswoman for Thames Water, this morning (Wednesday).
“It was repaired overnight as it’s less disruptive to fix it after the majority of businesses have closed than during the day.”
Water supplies in the area were not affected, according to Thames Water.
