Light the darkness on Holocaust Memorial Day, says West Berkshire Council
Thu, 12 May 2016
THE traffic lights in Bartholomew Street, Newbury, which failed this morning (Thursday) are not likely to be repaired until tomorrow morning.
The traffic lights, at the busy junction with Pound Street, remain out of action prior to this evening's rush hour.
West Berkshire Council's traffic management say the lights controller has failed and parts will not be available until first thing in the morning (Friday), when an engineer will attend.
The pedestrian crossing signals have also failed at the lights, which are close to several schools, including St Bartholomew's.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to take care when crossing the junction.
