A MAN was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the neck during an incident in Pangbourne last Sunday evening (July 3).

Police were called to Bourne Road at around 8pm following reports of a fight involving two men and two women.

A 44-year-old man sustained stab wounds to his neck and was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital for medical treatment.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

Officers arrested a 38-year-old woman, a 43-year-old woman, a 44-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, all from Pangbourne, on suspicion of public order offences. 

They have all been bailed until August 20.

Investigating officer, Det Con Snezhanna Lennon of Newbury Force CID, is appealing for anyone with any information to come forward. 

She said: "I would ask anyone who may have seen this incident, or who has any information about it, to come forward.

"People can contact me via the 24-hour non-emergency number 101."
