Thatcham gorse fire suspected arson

A GORSE fire in Thatcham yesterday (Wed) evening was a suspected arson.

Two pumps from Newbury Fire Station was called at 5.15pm to the incident in Pound Lane.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using a hosereel. 

Firefighters left the scene at 5.52pm.

The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) recorded the incident as a suspected arson.
