THE Orangery Restaurant at Mercure Newbury, Elcot Park Hotel has been awarded its first AA Rosette for culinary excellence.

Head Chef, Etienne Forget, and his team have been working hard to achieve this prestigious accolade.

Speaking about the award, Mr Forget said: “We are a team always striving to deliver culinary excellence in each dish we create, so we’re extremely honoured to see this has been recognised nationwide.

“We’ve always been very proud of the food offering at Elcot Park and this award confirms our position as a leading hotel and restaurant.”

The elegantly styled Orangery Restaurant offers a diverse range of dishes, prepared using fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce.

Tracey Brown, Jupiter Hotels regional director who heads up the Food and Beverage Department added: “I am delighted that Etienne and his team have been recognised with this external, prestigious award for food quality.

“As the second Hotel to achieve an AA Rosette within our portfolio, we are very proud to be acknowledged for our ethos of delivering locally inspired good quality food, cooked extremely well.”
