Calcot wheelie bin fire accidental

The cause of a Calcot wheelie bin blaze outside a block of flats this afternoon (Tues) was put down to accidental.

One fire engine was called from Dee Road Fire Station in Tilehurst at 4.30pm, to Southcote Lane, where a wheelie bin was on fire, on the pavement outside the flats.

The blaze had spread to two other wheelie bins.

Firefighters extinguished the fire using a hosereel and left the scene after half an hour.
