£5,000 pledged for outdoor gym at Chieveley Village Hall

AN OUTDOOR multi-gym project at Chieveley village hall has received a £5,000 boost, thanks to Greenham Common Trust.

A space near the children’s playground at the hall has been earmarked for an outdoor multi-gym and the trust has pledged £5k towards the £11,842 project.

Secretary and grant officer for the Chieveley Village Hall executive committee Helen Singleton said that she hoped the equipment would be in place for the spring.

“It will be another fabulous addition to our village and something that can be used by many residents who otherwise cannot afford the time or money for a gym membership,” she said.

The hall has undergone a transformation over recent years, with car park improvements, grassland, newly- planted trees and new seating areas.
