Pangbourne holding its Christmas evening tonight (Friday)

Businesses ready to host "the best Christmas event around"

PANGBOURNE hosts its annual Christmas evening today (Friday).

Shops, restaurants and businesses will be taking part in the event, offering their own way to celebrate the festive season.

These businesses are staying open late and many are offering mince pies, mulled wine and other festivities for customers to enjoy.

The chairwoman of the Pangbourne Business Forum, Emma Sampson, said: “The Christmas evening in Pangbourne is a wonderful and enchanting occasion that everybody should experience.

“The local business owners have gone above and beyond to give everyone who attends a delightful evening.”

The village hall will also host numerous Christmas associated stalls and organisations, alongside a silver band and a visit from Father Christmas.

Event organiser Leslie Crimp said: “Pangbourne is so proud to host the best Christmas evening around.

“We have many exciting things to experience this year, including our raffle thats top prize is a drive in a Lamborghini.

“Please come and enjoy the evening with the great people of Pangbourne and share the hospitality that the local shops, restaurants and businesses have put on.”

The shops, restaurants and businesses taking part are Age UK, Beauty Box, Bon Apetit, Café St Louis, Collins, Costa Coffee, The Cross Keys public house, Davis Tate, Finn Hair, Garlands Organics, Lamborghini, Londis, Marlow Stoves, Miahs, Neville Turner, Nino’s Italian, O3 Interiors, Lina Tandoori and Fish and Chips, Pangbourne Barbers, Pawfect for Pets, Peking Garden, Simply Wines Direct, The Elephant Hotel and Restaurant, The Rhubarb Tree, The Swan public house, Triangle Travel, The Turkish Barbers, Green Parlour, The Cheese Shop, Pankhurst Cycles, Greens Butchers and Co-op.

The festivities start at 5pm.
