Christmas tree

There's a host of Christmas-themed events going on today (Saturday).

John Rankin School will be holding its Christmas Bazaar from 2pm-4pm at the infant school in Henshaw Cresent.

A raffle, toys and book stall, cake stall, lucky dip and Children's games will all be available to have a go at.  

Elsewhere, the author of a children’s book will host a Christmas storytime at Newbury library on Saturday afternoon (Dec 10),

Richard Littledale, author of The Littlest Star, will host the free event at the Wharf-based library starting at 2.30pm.

Copies of the book will be available to purchase.

The library will also be hosting Chatterbooks, a book group for 8-12 year olds, from 2-3pm.

Hungerford Town Band will perform a Christmas Concert at Hungerford Town Hall from 7.30pm.

Like a bit of retro? There's a 60s,70s,80s night being held at the Fieldgate Centre, Kingsclere from 7.30pm-1am.

And a community Christmas market will be held at Elm Farm, Hamstead Marshall (next to Dog's Trust).

The free entry event runs from 10am to 2.30pm and will feature local food and crafts, a charity raffle and refreshments.
