Firefighters tackle chimney blaze at Benham Park

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a chimney fire at Benham Park this afternoon (Thurs).

Both pumps from Newbury Fire Station were called at 3.30pm to a cottage in the grounds of Benham Park.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using a hosereel.

No-one was hurt.

Firefighters left the scene an hour later
