Hungerford housing developer pledges year of support for Newbury charity Dingley's Promise
A Hungerford-based developer has announced its Charity of the Year.
David Wilson Homes Southern has chosen to support Dingley’s Promise, a Newbury-based charity in Newbury delivering nursery education to children under five with special educational needs and disabilities and their families.
Any funds raised up to £15,000 will be matched by its parent company, Barratt Developments.
Employees at David Wilson Homes selected the charity following a number of internal nominations, and have committed to supporting the charity through a variety of events until next July.
Managing director Campbell Gregg said: “We are thrilled to be supporting Dingley’s Promise as our Charity of the Year.
“The work that the charity carries out on a daily basis to assist young children is admirable, and we’re grateful to have this opportunity to raise vital funds for such a worthwhile cause.”
Dingley’s Promise chief executive Catherine McLeod said: “We are delighted to be supported by David Wilson Homes.
“Dingley’s Promise relies upon fundraising to provide vital resources, equipment and additional support needed for children with SEND in the early years.
“We are excited to work collaboratively with the team and support their brilliant fundraising plans.”
