Close to their hearts was the Linac scanner appeal and the Still Birth Foundation, both based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.
The charities were picked because they had particular recent relevance to the family and staff members of the businesses.
For 2014-15, the businesses have chosen Dreams Come True as their charitable focus, a Hampshire-based organisation that supports terminally-ill children aged from two to 21, and their families.
The Linac scanner appeal and the Still Birth Foundation each received a donation of £7,000 as a result of the businesses’ fundraising.
