Hot foot it to fundraising Highclere curry night
Guests at the curry night, at the Red House pub, off the A343 Andover Road, will be entertained by East Woodhay Silver Band, set to perform their military repertoire.
The evening is in aid of funds for ABF The Soldier’s Charity, which gives lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families.
‘Money can’t buy’ prizes include a visit to the Royal School of Artillery, at Larkhill on the south edge of Salisbury Plain.
There will also be chance to win a copy of the
official book, signed by members of the London 2012 GB Olympic medal-winning equestrian teams.
The book was presented to all the London 2012 Olympians and Paralympians.
Organiser, Peter Davies - a member of the charity’s Berkshire committee - said the aim was to double the £100k raised by this committee each year by 2015, and in line with the charity’s overall aim.
“The long term way to raise funds is to raise awareness, and it’s thanks to Simon (Liquorice - co-owner of the pub) and his crew who have all donated their time free for this event we’re all just looking forward to a great evening and raising funds so come along, support our soldiers and enjoy,” said Mr Davies.
Tickets for the curry night, starting around 6pm, cost £20 and are available from the Red House pub, Andover Road , telephone (01635) 255531. (NB - *Pub is closed on Mondays.)
