The sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties Roz Wells said the cost-of-living-crisis has made the work that these charities do more essential.

She said: “We are delighted to be able to donate towards these causes to provide essential items to those in need during this difficult time.”

CEO and founder of Newbury Soup Kitchen Meryl Praill added: “Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s generous contribution, we can continue to provide essential support and make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

“The donation will help towards breaking cycles of homelessness and help us to advocate for a more inclusive society."
