How much did Thatcham Festival cost the council?

Thatcham’s art festival cost more than £20,000.

Thatcham Festival, which takes place every October, is kicked off with a High Street festival dubbed The Big Thatcham Fest Off.

It features talks, history, dancing, and art exhibitions, among other similar events.

This year it cost the town council £22,568.

Of this, just shy of £17,000 went to salary allocation, which the council says is an internal movement of salaries between various cost centres representing the services it provides.

The festival – which ran from October 6 to October 15 – brought in £2,500 through ticket, advertising and sponsorship income and stallholder fees.
