Hungerford Christmas Fair on tomorrow and Saturday
Two worthy causes will benefit from annual event
HUNGERFORD Christmas Fair will be supporting two worthy causes this year.
The fair will benefit both the local branch of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and also Amref Health Africa.
The £2 entrance charge, and all proceeds raised from the raffle, will go to the MND Association, while 10 per cent of all sales from the stallholders will go to Amref Health Africa – the charity supported by Kathini Graham who ran the fair for more than 25 years.
The two-day event takes place in the Corn Exchange tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday, between 10am and 4pm.
Jane Gilbert of the Reading and West Berkshire branch of the MND Association said: “We’re so grateful to organisers Sally Poltimore and Caroline Preston for supporting our vital work and helping to raise awareness of this debilitating disease which has no known cure.”
