Hungerford firefighters extinguish straw fire in field

Spokeswoman for the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS), Nicole Targett, said a Hungerford fire crew was called out at 10.05pm to fields near North Standen Road, where approximately three tonnes of straw were ablaze.
Firefighters used hosereels to extinguish the blaze before leaving the scene at 10.41pm.
The cause was put down to accidental by the RBFRS.
