Hungerford firm joins charity campaign
Emily Payne, of Dickins Hopgood Chidley LLP, will make or update people's wills for free to support Naomi House
A FIRM of Hungerford solicitors has joined a campaign in aid of Naomi House Children's Hospice to encourage local people to make or update their wills.
Between June 6 and June 19 Emily Payne, a solicitor specialising in Wills and Trusts at Dickins Hopgood Chidley LLP, will prepare a new will or update your existing will free of charge, in return for a donation to Naomi House.
She said: “We're proud to be a part of this year's campaign to raise money for a very worthwhile cause and to encourage more people to look at their wills. It's so important that you have a valid and up to date will in place to provide for your loved ones in the way you wish.”
She added: “This is a fantastic opportunity to do your bit for Naomi House while also tackling an important part of your own personal affairs. Everyone would benefit from making or reviewing their will, particularly if you have recently moved house, had children, divorced, retired or married.
“If you die without a will, it is possible that your estate would not go to those you expect. To be able to help a local charity while having a professional will prepared is a chance not to be missed.”
To make a will under the Naomi House scheme, call Ms Payne at Dickins Hopgood Chidley LLP on 01488 683555 to make an appointment.
Naomi House provides support to children and young people with conditions that mean they are unlikely to live to become adults.
The charity provides care to families and young adults living across Berkshire and six other counties.
