And the switching-on ceremony on Sunday (November 26) kick started the festive season for the town and provides a spectacular backdrop to the Victorian Extravaganza next month.
Town councillor Jerry Keates presided, with deputy mayor Claire Winser and Freedom of the Town of Hungerford award winners Stuart Hofgartner and Tony Drewer-Trump throwing the switch following the countdown.
Entertainment was provided by the Hungerford Town Band, the Community of Hungerford Theatre Company, Abbie Cleary, Hungerford Primary School and Rosie Gregory.
Meanwhile residents of Clark’s Gardens pulled out all the stops again this year with an amazing Christmas lights display, including animatronic Santa.
