Hungerford launches festive season in style with ‘best lights display in the region’

HERE we go….!

It’s December already and Hungerford’s Christmas lights are back.

The display is widely considered to be the best in the region.

The switch-on ceremony took place this year on the steps of the historic town hall, starting at 4pm and continuing with a program of festive entertainment until the big moment at 5pm.

The crowds were entertained by the the Hungerford Town Band, the Hungerford Primary School Choir and singer Abbie Cleary.

Town mayor Helen Simpson welcomed the crowds and the switch on was performed by this year’s Freedom of the Town of Hungerford award winners Tim and Sandy Crouter and Susan Mayes.
