Hungerford man accused of inciting disorder during riots




Gary Cunningham has been charged in connection with recent messages posted on Facebook

A HUNGERFORD man has been accused of using social media to incite disorder in Newbury during the recent riots.

Nineteen-year-old Gary Cunningham, of Church Street, has been charged under the Malicious Communications Act over messages posted on social networking wesbite Facebook on August 9, where it is alleged that he incited people to commit disorder in Newbury town centre.

Mr Cunningham has been bailed to appear at West Berkshire Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 6.
