Reading Magistrates' Court: Hungerford man denies assault at Newbury rail station

A HUNGERFORD man has pleaded not guilty to attacking a man at a railway station.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, May 18, was Dean James Boness.

The 35-year-old, who lives at Northview, was accused of assaulting Michael Woods by beating him at Newbury Railway Station on December 2 last year.

Mr Boness, who was legally represented by Mike Davis, spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.

He was told the case, which is being brought by British Transport Police, could proceed no further that day and the matter was adjourned for a trial to be arranged.

Mr Boness was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
