Hungerford named best place to live in West Berkshire, ahead of Burghfield Common, Thatcham and Newbury

Hungerford has been named the sixth best place to live in Berkshire, according to a new league table.

Garrington Property Finders has compiled a list of 1,400 cities, towns and villages across England and Wales that all score highly in at least one of five selection criteria – natural beauty and flood risk, wellbeing, heritage, schools and employment plus value for money.

Hungerford is top of the West Berkshire pack in the Royal County, with Burghfield Common in 13th spot, Thatcham 17th and Newbury 19th.
