Inquest opened into death of Reading 19-year-old

THE identity of a teenager who died after falling from an M4 bridge at Reading earlier this month (Nov) has today (Wed) been revealed

The 19-year-old was Kamil Paszko, who lived in the Oxford Road, Reading, according to the West Berkshire coroner's office, who opened an inquest into his death today.

On Friday November 18, the M4 was closed between junctions 11 Reading and 12 Theale after police were called to a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle westbound at 4.53pm.

South Central Ambulance Service was called after a report that a 19-year-old man had fallen from an overpass at Reading Services on to the westbound carriageway of the M4 and had then been hit by a vehicle.

A rapid response vehicle, ambulance, two paramedics and an air ambulance were sent to the scene.

Mr Paszko, who sustained life threatening injuries, was taken by road to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, accompanied by the air ambulance crew.

He died in hospital four days later, on the morning of Tues Nov 22.

An inquest date has not yet been set.
