In pictures: Platinum Jubilee beacon lightings across West Berkshire
Beacons were lit across West Berkshire and North Hampshire for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee as the sun set over the country last night.
Many gathered around the fire with each town creating their own glowing commemoration.
In Newbury, the beacon was lit in the pond in Victoria Park by Newbury mayor Gary Norman.
As the beacon was lit to celebrate the Queen's 70 years, onlookers captured images of the once in a lifetime event.
There were also beacon lightings at Donnington Castle, Thatcham's Dunstan Green and Aldermaston.
In Thatcham, the beacon lighting was followed by a firework display, choirs, dancers and a special bugler call.
The six-minute firework display was choreographed to music and the town celebrated the occasion together at Dunstan Green.
The beacon was lit following an array of different forms of entertainment from stilt walkers to a performance from the Cold Ash Brass Band.
In Kingsclere, a huge, bonfire-shaped beacon was lit atop White Hill - visible for miles around.
The spark was lit by Wendy Morgan of the Kingsclere Royal British Legion, helped by the legion's Standard Bearer Trevor Marriner.
Crowds gathered both at the top of the hill and on Bear Hill as the village kicked off its jubilee celebrations.
