Before and after pictures: Summer dry season in West Berkshire
July 2022 has been the driest month on record since 1935 according to the Met Office.
The landscape across the district has changed considerably in just a couple of months and photographer Phil Cannings has recorded the changes in the scenery.
He has taken photographs across the district including from the Greenham Control Tower and the diamond – now known as the John W Mello Field – at Greenham Common.
You can also see the effect of no rain on Snelsmore Common, Donnington Castle and Victoria Park.
Click on the white circle in the centre of the image and swipe across from right to left to see the change.
The dry weather is expected to continue with temperatures rising again next week and reaching 30°C.
