In pictures: Thousands gather to watch dominoes topple through Newbury town centre

Thousands of concrete breezeblocks tumbled through Newbury today (Saturday) in an epic spectacle.

Onlookers lined the streets to watch 4,500 giant dominoes wind their way through the town centre at 3pm this afternoon.

The trail began as the very first domino brick fell from the window of the Elephant Pub on a pre-arranged signal.

They then passed through The Kennet Centre, St Nicolas Church, and the Waterside Centre before culminating in an epic domino fall at Victoria Park.

The dominoes fell through crossing parks, buildings, a flat and the canal for the 20 minute long show.

Crowds cheered as the final brick fell at the Victoria Park pond, making a splash.
