In other news, villagers in the Lambourn Valley are continuing to suffer almost medieval conditions with raw effluent pouring down streets and into gardens, and police are urging residents to keep an eye out after a 92 year old woman became the latest victim of a distraction burglary - the third such incident in Thatcham in a month.
There’s good news all round for commuters – a three-mile section of both carriageways of the A34 between Chieveley and Beedon are to be resurfaced, a gate to ease traffic congestion following accidents on the M4 is to be installed and Network Rail has announced £9bn worth of improvements in its five year plan.
