In this week's Newbury Weekly News

Several emergency vehicles lined the pavement along Hambridge Road, close to the Bellwood fishing, shortly after 2.45pm.
Also this week, town centre parking policy was in doubt following claims that a consultation document advocated potentially illegal charges.
The validity of the proposed on-street parking charges for 16 town centre roads is under the microscope after a similar scheme in Barnet, north London, resulted in the authority's High Court defeat.
In other news, residents in West Berkshire could soon be tackling the district’s fires after a recent ballot by the Fire Brigades Union saw 78 per cent of members vote in favour of strike action.
However, chief acting fire officer for the local fire service said that the response from the public had not been as forthcoming as it had been in other areas, and was urging more to come forward and volunteer for training which will see them equipped with the same skills as currently part-time firefighters in the districts retained stations.
Meanwhile, the former Chair of the Watermill Theatre and long-term Aldbourne resident Richard Price has paid tribute to his close friend Sir David Frost after the broadcaster’s sudden death on Saturday.
Mr Price worked closely with Sir David on programmes such as Frost on Sunday and also produced the popular broadcaster’s interviews with Nelson Mandela.
As always, there’s also a roundup of the week’s entertainment and sport, and of course this week’s £25 free fuel giveaway.
All this plus more in the Newbury Weekly News, on sale every Thursday.
