In January the council’s Licensing Sub-Committee granted the new Southern Co-operative store - due to open in the summer - a license to serve alcohol from 8am to 11pm on Monday to Sunday, despite 58 people signing a petition objecting to the move.

Trevor Brown, a former Liberal Democrat councillor and AWE worker died in the early hours of Friday morning from a heart attack, aged 90.
In other news, a robber armed with a screwdriver got more than he bargained for after a courageous customer broke his arm.
John Ritchie, aged 50, tackled Terry Lunnon at the Co-op in Burghfield Common after he tried to snatch money from the till.
Mr Ritchie and store members were awarded for their bravery at a special presentation by Thames Valley Police last week.
Meanwhile, a company director who defrauded clients out of more than £80,000 was jailed for three years on Tuesday.
Ashley Martin Taylor, who established his own company AMT Events Limited, cheated clients out of tens of thousands of pounds, causing one honest entrepreneur’s business to fail.
