Also this week, the future of the long-awaited Faraday Plaza is in question after West Berkshire Council members voted not to renew its planning permission, which expired in 2009.
However, Faraday Developments Limited (FDL) has said that the council had missed a chance to quell their own concerns by not imposing a condition on retail space, and that a formal complaint had been lodged with the council with the request that it goes back before the committee.
In other news, a Newbury man is due to appear at crown court today (Thursday) facing an alleged murder charge.
On Sunday morning, a woman’s body was discovered in a block of Newbury flats, off the Andover road in the town.

The event saw thousands stream into Newbury’s first ever youth festival in Victoria Park in the town, attracting a stream of some 4,000 visitors throughout the day and early evening, featuring 30 young bands and singers, on three stages.
