In this week's Newbury Weekly News...

Former Thatcham parish vicar, Rev Peter Jarvis, denies 12 charges relating to four children - two girls and two boys - aged from 12 upwards.
Also this week, Newbury MP Richard Benyon has said that his family firm were left with little choice but to pull the plug on its involvement with the New Era estate in Hoxton, east London.
Last week, the Benyon Estate - which is run by the MP’s brother Edward - informed tenants that it was selling its nine per cent shareholding in the consortium which owns the New Era estate and would be withdrawing from managing the property.
The decision comes following a row over the consortium’s decision to raise tenants rent prices.
In other news, fears have surfaced on the possibility of lorries carrying radio-active waste through Theale and Burghfield.
It follows the launch of a four month public consultation on five proposed sites to store decommissioned nuclear submarine waste – including AWE Aldermaston and Burghfield, where the nation’s nuclear deterrent, Trident, is manufactured and maintained.
