Incident outside Kennet Centre in Newbury Market Place




POLICE and paramedics responded to an incident in Newbury town centre on Thursday, September 4.

Several police cars and an ambulance were parked outside the Kennet Centre in Market Place around 2.30pm and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance landed in Victoria Park.

Armed police were also reportedly spotted on the scene.

However a Thames Valley Police spokesman said later: “This was a medical incident – nobody has been stabbed and no arrests have been made.

“Armed police helped provide medical assistance.”
