Informal meet of classic and custom cars and bikes at West Berks pub this weekend

The thing about the informal classic and custom cars and bikes meet at the CAMRA award-winning Bell at Aldworth is that you never know what’s going to turn up next.

Top marques may roll in – Rolls Royce’s, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Aston Martins or Ferraris, alongside the passion projects, classic bikes and cars rescued and lovingly restored... and then the arrival of Hampstead Norreys collector of curiosities Ray Prior who can always be relied on to bring along a conversation piece, like the 1963 Čezeta pictured - "basically a Czechoslovakian trike for farmers to use to carry veg". All in its original condition, he's had the scooter for around six years. "You can see one farmer cut a chunk out for his wife to sit," he said. "Then the next one didn't need it and covered it with tin!"

There’s a lot of chat over engines and all things mechanical, too, over a beer and the Bell’s famous filled rolls.

The next meet is Tomorrow (Sunday, July 30) from midday. If you have an old/custom bike or car, then bring it along. There’s no entrance fee.

The event is organised by George Simmons from Compton.
