Inglewood retirement village ahead of schedule

At a special ceremony, Newbury MP Richard Benyon and Audley chief executive officer Nick Sanderson, officially ‘broke ground’ ahead of schedule on the third phase of development.
This phase will comprise the development of Eaton Mews and Lime Tree Court which will be farm house style cottages and apartments located in the grounds behind Inglewood House.
The first apartments will be ready for sale in winter 2015, with the remaining properties becoming available in early 2016.
Mr Benyon said: “It’s fantastic to see this final phase of development of Audley Inglewood begin. It is already a thriving community and I’m looking forward to seeing it reach its completion and to welcoming new owners to Audley Inglewood.”
Mr Sanderson said: “It’s a privilege to see the culmination of our work at Audley Inglewood, which began with the rebuilding of the iconic Inglewood House over five years ago. We are delighted to have brought the development of this phase forward following the success of selling all but three properties of phases one and two. The magnificent grounds and properties provide an ideal location to enjoy a happy and healthy later life.”
Audley Inglewood is centred around the 18th century manor house, Inglewood House, which has a long and fascinating history, including being a private home and Catholic seminary.
It is now home to the Audley Club and offers both owners and members of the local community a sumptuous restaurant, bar/bistro, swimming pool and health and wellbeing centre.
The development of the 24 two-bedroomed apartments and nine two-bedroomed cottages will bring the total number of properties within the village to 91.
