Swan Inn landlords are raising money for charity by giving up their West Berkshire flight prize
CUSTOMERS at The Swan Inn, Inkpen, are being given the chance to win a free flight over the West Berkshire countryside in a light aircraft.
All contestants have to do is to correctly guess the amount in a charity collection jar on the bar.
Licensee Bernard Harris (pictured), who runs the pub with wife Mary, said: “Each year we have a Christmas sweepstake to guess the value in the Parkinsons Society charity pot. Mary and I won second prize - a half hour flight from Brimpton Airfield worth about £120.”
The couple decided to donate the prize and start a new competition, at £1 a go.
